The theme for the competition is ‘school days’.
When writing your micropoem, please include the hashtag #HCSpoets in your 140 characters. Remember that spaces and punctuation count as characters.
The competition categories are: Age 13 and under; Age 14-18; HCS staff and parents. Multiple entries allowed.
Email your entries, stating your name and the category you wish to enter to website@herefordcs.com by October 5. We will tweet all entries from our Twitter account (@Herefordcs1) the following day, which is National Poetry Day. All competition entries will be available to view by searching for the #HCSpoets hashtag on Twitter.
The HCS Micropoetry Competition will be judged by Hereford Cathedral School Head of English, Mr Abbott. The winners of the two pupil categories will receive iTunes vouchers; the HCS staff/parent winner will receive a book token.
